Meet the Crew
Three friends, one garage, and a whole lot of noise — meet the crew behind The Pilot Holes.

Blake Mann – Vocals / Rhythm Guitar
Frontman, lyric machine, and the voice behind The Pilot Holes’ salty soul. Blake grew up surfing the OC coast and writing songs in his parents’ garage — same spot the band still uses to rehearse (and sometimes throw loud backyard shows). He’s the guy who can catch a wave before soundcheck and still show up with a notebook full of hooks. Offstage? You’ll find him chasing sunrise surf, scribbling lyrics on receipts, or pretending he doesn’t like being the center of attention.

Tyler Schulz – Guitar / Bass / Backing Vocals
Guitar slinger, part-time bassist, full-time vibe. Tyler grew up just down the street from Blake, trading surf spots and swapping riffs since middle school. He switches between bass and lead without missing a beat, and swears if the band ever breaks up, he’ll “just become a banker or something equally soul-crushing”. Known for his dry humor, clean tone, and secret obsession with tuning perfectly by ear. If he’s not at rehearsal, check the beach or your local burrito spot.

Bill Kallaway Jr. – Drums
The backbone of the band and the calm in the chaos. Bill keeps the tempo tight and the vibe looser than his hi-hats. While Blake and Tyler chase waves, Bill’s more likely cruising on his skateboard or disappearing on a solo trip with just a backpack and a playlist. Nothing rattles him — not broken sticks, not late nights, not even Tyler’s dad jokes. He's all groove, no ego, and somehow always shows up just in time with iced coffee and the perfect beat.
